Kimberly began painting in 1983 in Kona Hawaii. She studied and later taught in a local studio/gallery. She began selling her work in galleries in Kona before returning to her native Portland Oregon to pursue an Art degree. By the time she graduated from Portland State University she had opened a gallery and was teaching classes there.
She has shown her work in several galleries in Hawaii, the US mainland and Europe.
The journey of art making has taken her through many media and more than 12 countries. She continues to travel with her husband and three children. She paints in oil, mixed media and encaustics.
